Tim Morris

Tim Morris (UK) is an Associate Professor (Research) at the Centre for Advanced Instrumentation at Durham University. He gained his PhD in Physics in 2005 and since then has focused his research on the development of wide-field laser guide star adaptive optics for astronomy.  He now leads the Adaptive Optics group in Durham comprising over 20 researchers, engineers and students developing the next generation of adaptive optics systems for astronomy, as well as applying adaptive optics technology to other fields such as ophthalmology and retinal imaging.

He represents Durham University on the ORP Board and leads WP19 TA12 CANARY Testbed, which is the instrumentation development trans-national access program.
