Stéphane Basa

Stéphane Basa is a research director at the Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille (AMU/CNRS/CNES). He has a strong experience in the exploitation of the transient sky to study the infancy of the universe. He also has a recognszed experience in the development of astronomical instruments (Co-PI of the space mission SVOM, PI of the robotic telescope COLIBRI, etc.). He is also very active in research management, being for example member or president of many committees for the CNES, the CNRS or the ministry, head of a joined laboratory between France and Mexico, etc.

The ORP Coordinator oversees the overall implementation and execution of the project, is responsible for WP1 (management), and the main point of contact with the European Commission / Research Executive Agency.
